CRUISE ACTIVITIES

What do you like to do when on holiday?  Well, you will probably find that most of the modern cruise ships will offer most of the activities you enjoy.  This can be rock and wall climbing, golf lessons, ping pong, bingo, yoga, exercise classes, jogging, walking, painting, bridge and the list goes on and on.

Vacations and especially cruise vacations are meant to be fun and even exciting.  The modern cruise ship will have day long activities on the pool deck and the the atmosphere will be both fun and eventful.

Many of the upscale cruise lines will offer enrichment lectures and series where they have experts in their chosen field onboard and sometimes they will lead certain shore excursions that have to do with their field of expertise.  Education and enrichment opportunities will usually be found on the smaller and upscale type of cruise ship.

Wine tasting and other forms of art will be provided on most cruise ships.  The latest rage on the ships is the art auctions.  These auctions allow you to view the art for several days and to ask questions before the actual art auction which is usually several days after the cruise begins and on a sea day.  You will find the artwork to be very appealing and will range from the small to the large, from the modern to the classic.

Personal fitness on most ships is paramount and passengers demand that the ships be modern and provide the proper arena for workout.  Most ships will provide morning workout classes, yoga, pilates, stretching on deck, some of the classes could incur a cost depending on the ship. 

If you like to shop, well besides going onshore when you dock or hit port, the ships will have a wide variety of stores and shopping onboard.  These stores will be open when the ship is at sea and are closed when you hit a port of call.

Try lady luck on any cruise ship.  You will find that all ships will have some type of casino, even if it is just a blackjack table and two slot machines.  Then some of the bigger ships have a casino area that will have ten or twenty tables, craps and hundreds of slot machines.  Plus, most ships offer a daytime form of progressive bingo.

Every ship will offer some type of spa or beauty service.  Depending on the size of the ship and the space available, this will dictate what you have available in the form of baths, hair styling, massages and other spa treatments.
